Here is the issue though in this situation people got angry because @she had different political views than the majority here, that's when people started questioning their mod status, not based on actions as a mod. If a SJW came under control of a default sub and started censoring people atko could just remove them. We shouldn't be acting on things like this until someone actually does something.

No one is angry because she has different political views. We're angry because she's deleting posts left and right for stupid reasons on what was a default subverse. We came to this site to get away from that shit and seeing a mod do it on here is spitting in the faces of most of Voat's userbase.

No, that is not what started the outrage against @she stop trying to change it after the fact. The outrage at @she being a mod started and snowballed due to their political views. People were painting their removals as political and they weren't, this all started AFTER the outrage at @she being a mod of /v/AskVoat with certain political view. @she was enforcing the subverse rules. Was it a stupid rule? sure. Petition to change the rule then! That isn't what happened, instead people personally went after @she rather than the mod team to change the rule.

Where have you been mate? The differing opinions are OK but she was being a but of a cunt to boot.

I've followed the entire shit storm since before 2 weeks ago. I've been around more of it than most people. You can read here and I can probably give you even more details if you have questions

You're missing some of the details though. She was petitioning for control of the subverse as well.

The combination of:

(1) SJW Leanings

(2) Heavy Handed Awkward enforcement

(3) Grab for Power

was the basis for my concern. Alone, any one of those things wouldn't rile me up much. But combined, that was what had/has me worried.

I'm not missing the details. I followed and documented the whole thing. The entire thing was driven by fear mongering and mob mentality. /v/AskVoat needs a head mod and @she was a prime candidate and had every right to claim it

Oh right, reporting Voat to the FBI is just a difference in politics.

[–] 12_Years_A_Toucan 3 points -1 points (+2|-3) ago

On a sub being created to bring back a sub that was banned for possible legal reasons? Yeah its drastic as fuck and I don't condone it but yeah it's still difference in politics. It's not gonna lead to Voat getting shut down over that so don't be dramatic, you don't make a call to the FBI "Yeah there is this one guy on the internet that might be involved in CP" and then the FBI rush in and shut down the site it was posted to. You ever hear of 4chan?
