Flash is a security hazard and Adobe is discontinuing support and updates. It looks like flash content will be vanishing from the web. There is a project, Bluemaxima's Flashpoint, to preserve as much as possible. You have the option of downloading everything they have archived at ~500 Gigs, or a smaller version, which still weighs in at half a Gig download, 1.5 Gig on disk, which allows you to chose what you want to keep.
The large file has the whole archive of saved material preinstalled. The smaller one lets you chose what to add. Once you load it from the web, it is kept.
