No. But not because of her ideologies.

Voat is supposed to be bastion of free speech and she should be free to express her ideologies but those expressions should be separate and apart from her duties as a moderator. In order for Voat to survive as a forum of free speech the moderators must do their utmost to remain unbiased in the performance of their responsibilities. She should not be a moderator of /v/AskVoat because she has proven herself to be incapable of remaining unbiased in her moderation.

She should be allowed to express her ideas, but not free to censor others' ideas she does not like. She has already demonstrated her willingness to do so.

Yeah, that's kinda what I said.

Moderators got to understand that they have to have two different thought processes and behaviors on Voat. One being their line member thought process and behavior. They can create, consume, and discuss content based on their own personal ideologies. The other being their thought process and behavior as a moderator. As a moderator, they must strive to be unbiased in everything that they do. Voat cannot survive as a forum for free speech if they do not. If a post does not violate any of the rules or Voat or the subverse then they must leave it alone regardless of how loud their personal ideologies are screaming in their ear.

Has she though? I haven't seen anyone provide evidence yet.

Well said. That is an important distinction. Her views/comments shouldn't qualify or disqualify her. It comes down to an ability to remain unbiased and moderate responsibly.

Her inability to do either disqualifies her from being a moderator, not her ideologies.

So no, i don't believe she is fit to moderate askvoat.

This exactly right. Just like the judge that sentenced the 19 year old "sex offender" so harshly for his ideology. I didn't even have a problem with the judges ideology - but you must keep it out of objective judgements. Moderating askvoat is no different. Believe or comment what you want. Just don't delete comments you disagree with.

exactly, I completely agree. It's fine to have opinions, it's not fine to use them as a basis for how you enforce rules on a large, default (is that the term for it here?) sub. She can share her opinions and we can share them. So no, because they deleted a post it seems because of her personal bias, not because the subs rules
