The reasoning will be no question mark in the title, but I'm going with no- not a coincidence.

Also to clarify- I'm not calling for mod status to be revoked. I am just pointing out fishy behavior and think the other mods should keep an eye on her behavior for a while.

Holy shit, this she person is like Reddit incarnate. Why the hell is she even here? Why isn't she on Reddit? Why is she feeling the need to ruin this place as well?

I dont understand.

This is the kind of cancer we must NOT have modding large subs.

Who runs voat? akto or someone? Anyway, I told them a year ago:

WHEN A POST GETS TRACTION, disable any moderation of it. When good users have spoken, fuck the mods. The stupid fucking mods are always the problem.

People.. people and power is just a bad combination it seems. And especially online, where any unqualified person can be a mod anonymously. We need something on voat to protect the users against mods like this.

This is perfect. Mods should just remove spam. The community upvoats and downvoats the content they like/dislike.

[–] wuzizname 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Hear hear!

Excellent recommendation. When the community accepts the post and has hit a minimum threshold of comments or upvoats, then the community has spoken and is engaged. It's absolutely idiotic that any mod should have the ability to scrub an active thread because it doesn't end with proper punctuation.

That rule really should be:

  1. Post titles must include a question mark ("?").

IF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE A RULE REQUIRING CORRECT PUNCTUATION, USE CORRECT PUNCTUATION IN THE GODDAMN RULE.

Or we can track it ourselves and then report it: https://voat.co/v/ModTheMods

Well look at that...the post was bullshit, but the guy was making an idiot out of himself anyways. Then the very mod he accuses comes through and deletes the thread about it. Definitely a big fucking red flag. @she needs to go.

I unsubbed, I would encourage anyone who doesn't want to see powermods become a thing again message the moderators (@shiny and @she seem to be the only ones who are active, so message shiny) and request she be demodded. Unsub in the meantime. The community holds all the power in these situations. Do not let yourselves be abused the way you did on reddit.

Hello I have come up with my own solution subverse. Introducing voat.co/v/FaggotsOfVoat , a subverse dedicated to honoring all the faggots that want to see voat turn into reddit 2.0

I will do some work on it this evening when I'm home from work.

I also made /v/askvoaters

Come to /v/AskVoat2 !

No question mark rule.

Unsubbed, simple as that. I won't be a party to another group being filtered for boosting the ego of someone with a bit missing out of their personality.

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.

Call me crazy, but coming into a completely different thread to call someone a piece of shit kinda makes you look like an idiot.

https://voat.co/v/AskVoat/comments/401467 - This too was deleted about an hour ago by @she. The reason given was: "Spam, marketing, clickbait, self-promotion & soap boxing are not allowed"

The voat user was asking for peoples thoughts/opinions on a rough draft "mod guideline" proposal.

I don't see why this was deleted.

@she please explain.

@Atko and @PuttItOut, there really should be a way for the community to remove moderators with a proven track record of making bad decisions like @she.

Removing posts like Why do you think our government has started to make living off the grid illegal with 43 upvoats and 56 comments because of a missing question mark Is petty and puts people off of contributing to the verse. See Deleted Submissions for the other questionable deletions, especially this one with 273 upvoats and 419 comments.

Here are two discussions about how something like this could be implemented:

I absolutely agree with this. Deletion of threads that are contributing to voat over a punctuation mark is shameful behavior.

Remember the take-over attempt: https://voat.co/v/subverserequest/comments/330770

"She" (remember, it may very well be a guy) and Spacerosa are SJWs and oddly, it's always Spacerosa showing up to defend him/her (alt account?). Look what literally just happened to r/punchablefaces on Reddit. If you don't want this to happen, keep fighting against these cancers on Voat.

Holy shit -- SpaceRosa actually just showed up and argued with me defending her in this thread, just like you called it. I smell an alt...

Their language is similar, too. Just downvote if their comments don't add to the discussion and move on to the next.

@Spacerosa is constantly on my sub /v/reportsrs making petty complaints about the sidebar and just generally being annoying. I too smell an alt.

No offense dude, but a line break every once in a while wouldn't hurt. I'm trying not to side with that piece of shit, but your enter key is begging you for a back-rub.

@SpaceRosa just dragged out an argument with me about this, I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same person. Not only that, they only showed up to defend @she in threads where I pinged she's name...

edit: curiously, you'll notice that she has no comments anywhere ever since SpaceRosa started commenting...curiouser and curiouser.

This has also happened to me. I had created a thread in a totally unrelated sub and rosa showed up almost instantly.

This makes so much sense. I fought the cancer today (spacerosa) over censorship, and frankly, I obliterated it.

We have to confront this shit when we see it. All of us.

I think a thread that garnered that much activity should not be removed for something as petty as pronunciation. A warning would have sufficed. It was obviously removed for other reasons.

Seriously. I've wound up deleting and reposting threads in the past because of a minor typo I caught immediately after clicking submit. There should be a window of a few minutes to ninja edit titles just like there is with body text, with some way of editing titles afterwards with an "edited" notice. Either allowing the mods to do it for cases like this, where the rules require some piece of punctuation or a date or what have you, or just allowing the users to do it wholesale.
