Maybe, just maybe, some people don't want their speech censored to abide by political correctness because someone accused them (with shaky reasoning) of sexism. All commentary on how abused that word has been thrown about aside, does this mean that objective information that could be perceived as "sexist" need to be censored? At the end of the day, this wouldn't matter if SJWs didn't try to harass and ruin people both online and off for their hilariously awful views of censorship, and she (the user) is a bloody fucking idiot for putting fault on the people that are getting tired of some self-appointed moral guardians trying to stop discourse.

I don't want a safe space. I want to have a hard time. As someone who's "Anti-SJW," I want idiots like SJWs (are you included in that batch?) to stop trying to impose their safe spaces in every single community they touch without regard for, and with censorship to the people already there. It's not imposing a safe space, it's rejecting colonization.

First, thanks for a response that doesn't make me think you have to wear a helmet to bed. I'm not a fan of censorship, but I'm also a person who believes that if someone says something illogical, they should be corrected. I've recently had to deal with two different coworkers intentionally being obstinate because they don't like our new boss. Person A claims that they're not getting along with the new boss because said boss is sexist. Person B claims the boss is racist. Neither of these things are true and I wish there was some legal reproach to people who throw around those terms because they've learned that they get a reaction.

From what little I've paid attention to this she character, I also find them to be a bit insufferable. Like a lot of these tumbler warriors, there seems to be a driving need to find something offensive just to be able to talk about how offended you are. I was using Anti-SJW not as someone who is against SJWs, but someone who is the foil to an SJW. The anti-sjw screams about how people are stepping on their free speech because they get yelled at when they disparage someone else for their own ignorant reasons, be it fat people, minorities, a particular gender. It's really the same issue, but different "triggers".

The whole Safe Space bullshit is actually an idea taken from the concepts of postmodernism. The Stanley Fish Reader gives an excellent discussion on what these people, BOTH groups, want, really. It's nonsense and if you want to read it, please rent it from the library or find a copy you can borrow from someone. The whole cultural bazaar is a load of bullshit ( that's what this "safe space" talk is about, the cultural bazaar ).

I think people should behave intelligently and rationally, and we as individuals shouldn't expend time / energy trying to make other people upset just for the sake of ruffling their feathers. It's childish. If you have an opinion on any issue, you should always be free to express it. You should also expect other people are equally as free to call you if you're expounding bullshit. As I said, the only people I've ever encountered that cry about SJW's are those who have been called out for saying things like, "Faggots are ruining America". This individual literally meant that the homosexuals were the reason the US economy was in a slump. When someone asked him to elaborate, he looked at the guy and said, "You're one of those fucking social justice warriors, aren't you?". The question was, "In what ways are faggots ruining America?". There wasn't a hint of judgement in his tone and he even went with the term faggot, just to be clear on what he was asking and somehow he still got labeled an SJW.

It's become an utterly retarded circle jerk here on voat. There's another post about how SJWs are ruining the country... Really? The country is breaking down on a fundamental level because a very small number of people are sensitive to some things?

As for me being a social justice warrior.. I have my doubts. I do strive to be a moral person, but I have some disagreements with both some specific issues and the whole postmodern atmosphere. I'm sorry if you're offended if I call you by the gender that you actually are and I'm sorry if you're offended that I just laugh in your face when you let your inbred thoughts ooze out of your snout. I've little time for either of these people. They're just different sides of the same coin, and I'm free to express that opinion whether you like it or not. :D

Mostly valid points. I think the issue people have with She is that she is trying to gain top-level control of a major subverse. Noone with such a strong bias on either side should be in control of a major sub. The vast majority of these people would be just as vehemently opposed to someone from v/niggers taking control of v/askvoat. I say let anyone post whatever bullshit they want, but don't let the most opinionated amongst us moderate.

and I'm free to express that opinion whether you like it or not. :D

...But I like that opinion, and the only part of it that I want to contest is the motivation that you've given for someone hating moral authority.

Found what, someone that's tired of having a bunch of volatile trust fund babies try to alter my field of work because of their own quest to beat the nonexistent Patriarchy when they would otherwise have no interest in it?

Edit: I think I just got the tongue-in-cheek in your post. I am retarded.
