EDIT: I’ve got enough of the recorded meeting in a video, and I have screenshots of the comments from the senior engineer, which is actually the most important part. I will likely be chatting with an attorney today.
...
In the meeting, the head of HR (a White female) said, “We get a lot of applicants for our jobs, and they all look the same - you know what I mean. ... As of now we will be pausing the hiring of non POC until we find applicants who fit the racial mix we want in the company.”
Now here’s the crucial part. A leading engineer posed a question through the meeting chat. He asked for clarification on this since it’s difficult to find qualified candidates. The HR gal verbally responded that yes they’d delay hiring Whites In favor of POCs.
And the engineer then asked for further clarification stating that this means we’re effectively not hiring White people since a company has a short window within which to hire a good candidates (meaning they’ll get snapped up by another firm).
HR gal did not respond to this as I think it treads on illegality.
Can anyone confirm this? Also, what can I do about this? As I said the meeting was recorded.

Let me explain to you how this is going to go down. Been in a legal situation with a large company.
You will gather evidence to build a case, and they will see you are gathering info related to their emails, and network....they will send out a document saying that any information (including emails) are company property and not to be removed or duplicated in any way, or saved.
Then you will take that as a sign and say I got enough to start.....find a lawyer and have everything laid out....open and shut you think, and he will confirm it.....he will file the case....boom you will be laid off, made redundant, anything but fired.
They wont fire you. They will say restructuring....you file unemployment and they wont deny it. 9 months go by. Because you know better than to use them as a reference as they will blackball you and your court case is public record another employer will find.
Your case wont go but back and forth with motions and stays....then this or that.....they will make you suffer and when the unemployment runs out in 9 months they will make an offer to settle......you got Bill's, and shit.....you can take it and be done, or you can protract it into years maybe get something.....maybe not.
Best advice......find a new job and on your LinkedIn or whatever you use......say reason for leaving was racial inequality.
You wont win......it isnt ment for you to win.....do better and dont wait till you cant anymore like I did. They got way more time, money, and resources that you.

Interesting.
Good information.
I think perhaps a way to change that dynamic would be to go public somehow or something.
