Does anyone have a prepared reading list for boys aged 7 to 11 that is relatively safe for honest white folk? Mrs Shields looks after the homeschooling for our brood, but recently has become despondent about the local library selection, and rightly so. We followed Sonlight for a while, adding our own selections here and there, but I'd like to know if there's a good list I've missed.
My boy is not ready for The International Jew, Mein Kampf, 200 Years or the Turner Diaries yet, so you can skip those recommendations for now.

Redwall series by Brian Jacques, I enjoyed the shit out of that when I was his age. The badgers are bad ass!
The Boxcar Children set was another I enjoyed also.

Redwall is a new one to me. Boxcar I may have in the attic somewhere and had forgotten about it. Thanks.
