Why would subs especially for women be needed?

What? That's practically the whole point of subs. This is like asking "why would subs especially for programming be needed?" or "why would subs especially for science be needed?". Had the question asked by @ragingtampon been "What are some good subverses for sports fans ", would there be any reason to question it. I've seen practically the same type of question asked here by regarding "what are some good NSFW/porn subs?". If the females of voat desire to have some niche subs to discuss things like, I dunno, getting their hair done certain ways, getting their nails done, women's fashion, or whatever that's probably a good thing, no? Otherwise you end up with borderline off-topic posts in subs like why we have fucking meme's and pictures of political news articles being posted to /v/pics...technically pictures? - yes.... relevant to the sub? - not at all.

Well, I didn't mean a sub where men are banned, but I meant subs that revolve around womens issues, like period poop and waxing.

Then just ask

the community is purely secular, you are allowed to ask it and people will respond, there really aren't subverses for it, most subverses are open and unoriented to a concept of gender. My impression of voat is it is gender neutrality. Your gender is unimportant so you don't need to. Like people have said there is /v/AskVoat as well as /v/Askwomen and /v/twoxchromosome

but there really hasn't been any segregation, and no one is going to keep you from asking questions so long as its not a random post about say periods in /v/funny.

we're trying to be honest. there just isn't a specific place that I know of that is female centric, but as far as I concern myself with Voat, there isn't a male place either. But then again, I don't really actively search for either. If you feel a subverse is absent, you can also create one if you think it needs to be made. Its all really up to you. I never got the impression or set out to make this place a "boy's only club". I see no problem with sharing it openly. How else are we going to understand if you act as if we aren't ever going to understand at all. It's a very guarded logic and one that bothers me :/

Well if guys can ask about manscaping and poop on AskVoat, then you have every right to do it there.

It could all fall under /v/OperatingSystems and I'd be just as happy. I didn't make the sub, it popped up on my feed. I'm not the one that spawned it into existence.

Why would subs for anything be needed? Why not just post everything to /v/all and anyone interested will comment?
I fail to see how the addition of any sub is a problem. Hell, even if a similar sub already exists. if you want to make another, go right ahead, build the sub of your liking.

~Girl here! Better yet, /v/AskAGirl. It's more popular and better. It is accompanied by /v/AskAGuy, which is also good. /v/makeupaddiction if you're into makeup and shit. :))

Just my 2 cents. Posting your question in askvoat is better. It allows women to ask the question and men to gain an understanding of women Um personal issues. I never knew about period peeing and such with out such conversation. Hiding it away in its own little subverse keeps the opposite sex from knowing and maybe gaining an understanding.

I mean, you're certainly welcome to visit the subs that are women orientated, I just woudnt feel comfortable posting a gif about period shits and bloating on funny or ask voat.

Why not? It's not like v/funny is above toilet humor.

/v/askwomen and /v/twoxchromosomes are women's interest subs. Beyond that your interests really matter more than your gender. If you're a women who likes gaming, /v/gaming is for you. If you're a woman who likes tea, /v/tea. Interests shouldn't be tied to gender if they don't need to be, and on Voat they tend not to be.

I'd suggest searching voat.co/subverses. It all depends on your interests but my inclination is that you'll get the best results that way.
