The atmosphere is what makes it so cool.

I don't even understand what that is. It was an amusement park and I didn't notice anything that was massively better than the parks I have been to. Certainly nothing that justifies the cost and worship that Disney parks seem to get. Maybe it was a case of it being overhyped and I expected something actually special?

There's way too much hype on disneyland, but remember that it was one of the first true amusement parks, that were clean and had actual themes throughout. There are an awful lot of Disney fans that hype up the experience, but its the history that always made it interesting to me

Thank you for the explanation. So it is literally the stuff I do not care at all about in an amusement park, I agree, each to their own.
