Check the wording again. "Act with restraint and moderation when action is needed" So when you need to respond to accusations, don't react emotionally.

We're not saying you need to do this, just that it's the most productive way to respond to accusations (in our opinion). Getting emotional about it won't help the conversation go forward.

If the truth is really settled then you're probably just dealing with a troll or someone who has a hard time avoiding logical fallacies. The best way to deal with them is to just leave the conversation. If you've avoided logical fallacies you will convince others who are reading it.
