What does the word "Voat" signify? I see people here refering to themselves as 'goats', how do you get 'voat' out of that?
When I block somebody on Voat, does that keep them from seeing my stuff or just keep me from seeing their stuff?
I wouldn't normally block people but Voat allows down-voting when can ultimately even impact my own abililty to even post links. Is there some reason to think that down-voting is a reasonable feature for a forum?
Is there a guaranteed way to keep somebody who has downvoted something of mine from seeing anything else of mine and downvoting it?

Voat is kind of a play on words. Vote and the logo of the goat become Voat. We call ourselves goats because of the logo and the attitude of voat users. This is a goatlike place. Its gone kinda pussy recently but its still pretty goaty.
The second one.
Because we hate spam and niggers and faggots and jews. In no particular order.
And stupid people. I forgot stupid people.

Vote.
Rhymes with the word and is only one letter off.
No.
Everything you’ve said on this subject is 100% correct.
The only way to keep people from seeing what you post is to not post.

Voat got my interest a while back because it had one of the better collections of articles dealing with Pizzagate. But I seemed to be encountering catch22s when I tried to post anything on voat and it's only recently that I've actually halfway figured out to use it.

Blocking someone just means they can talk shit about you and you can't defend yourself.
