Archived Should "Christianity Today" magazine lose their non-profit status after engaging in political attack against Trump? (AskVoat)
submitted 1 year ago by olltre
Part of the whole deal with religious organizations getting non-profit status is they are supposed to refrain from engaging in political discussions and focus on their charitable works. This magazine made a diliberate politically motivated attack on the president of the United States, all while enjoying the benefits of non-profit status that includes lower taxes and in some specfic taxes they are totally exempt from. I think they should be removed from having this status, as they have proven to be unable to stay non objective in regards to US politics.
