I’ve read enough. I was a libertarian originally.

You didn’t address my questions.

You didn't read enough if you cannot answer those questions.

Self-ownership of children is a well-trodden subject. The big issue is how to create and maintain a system of courts that would be in competition with each other, rather than with the people. Get that right, or even close to right, and it would be superior to what we have.

"Crack being sold on the corner?"

If drugs were legalized why would you bother with something like streetcorner crack, when you could get a great high on something clean and cheap, such as heroin, purchased from a quality pharmacy?

"Corporations polluting drinking wells, with courts being the only form of recourse after the well is already polluted?"

Ask the people of Michigan how the current system has worked out for them?

"Why (sic) about large civil works projects such a nuclear energy?"

Which is better and safer, a private entity putting their money and reputation on the line, or a government entity financed by force and manned by people that don't give a shit, because it's so hard to fire government employees? The Columbia shuttle or Space X? From farms to fusion, I trust private companies more.

The area in which private companies and corporations ARE bad is when they are big enough to basically buy enough of the legal system that the laws change to suit them, preventing competition, while they are given slaps on the wrist for breaking them. Again this is one of the big hurdles, but hardly impossible to solve.
