That's probably because the .o is registered by the server as a file extension (e.g. .jpg, .gif, .txt, .html, etc.), while the / determines it to be a directory instead.

Somebody should've probably set up whatever the feature is that basically makes that irrelevant to the server and redirects like it's supposed to while obscuring actual directories (may or may not add to security).

I used it once when I was dabbling with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), but never got it functioning, so I guess I can't blame them, but it was a hobby, and I'm not a particularly smart server administrator.

that's odd... I wonder why they don't have it go to a custom 404 page. Also, Voat is written in .NET?
