No tricks but if you observe people long enough, they become painfully predictable and can easily be manipulated,

Found the sociopath

This is nowhere close to the definition of a sociopath. If you have ever managed difficult employees, you'd know what I'm talking about.

I learned this at my dogs training class and I thought it was pretty funny how true it was:

Hand someone a rope and hold onto the other end yourself. Then without giving any instructions try to tug the rope away from them.

The other person will almost always tighten their grip and pull it back immediatly. Its supposed to illustrate why grabbing things from dogs causes them to hold on tighter but it blew my mind how true it was that almost everyone (human or dog) reacts the same way.

I like to subtly assert dominance (not by peeing on them, for fuck's sale) by angling my hand over theirs while shaking hands, and nodding my head up and then down. That and backhanded compliments and just saying things that are a little bit off like "you sure are a suppository of useful information!" No one's called me out on it yet.

False memories. It's pretty easy to do and if it doesn't work, just pretend like you remember and they don't.

One trick is to violate your opponent personal space. known by most bullies. Not too cool, but good to know.

When arguing/flirting/interacting, move forward. By 1 inch, or 2. enough to violate the personal space. It is different in different cultures, but you'll feel that slight cringe. Anyhow your adversary/love interest will take a step back to regain their personal 'safe space', but subconsciously they would understand they are on a retreat.

If your are anywhere near eastern Europe this will earn you a swift headbutt.

At work I will alter my look or my office while they are not paying attention and they will completely fail to notice "was he wearing a hat a minute ago". - Change blindness.

Unless you work at a hat store it's possible they just don't care enough to comment.

But I am the boss. You would think they might pay attention at least a little.
