So... I rescued a stray, female about four weeks old. All black cat, I named her Selena. :D This is MY first car, had a couple growing up. Have done my google research but that has just left me more confused. So... here I am Voat, at your mercy .-. For the first week I had been feeding her about 3oz of wet food a day, twice a day (1.5 per serving) She was going batshit(no pun intended) crazy for food... But I didn't want to start indulging her with food because she simply wasn't used to it. Here I am a week later, and I have no idea if I am feeding her too much or not enough. I've started feeding her 6oz a day twice a day(3 per serving) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I promise pictures soon!
Thanks friends.

If it's under 6 months and readily eating dry food free feeding is best until 6 months or after. The youngest I've had is 4 months and he was taking dry food just fine, but I was also giving 3.5oz cans of wet food in the mornings and evenings. I think the general idea for kittens is give them as much as they want within reason, they won't over feed themselves.
Edit: Do grain free food if you can. Cats are obligate carnivores, grains do them no good and may be tied to poor health later in life.
