can someone explain why - after eating asparagus - my pee smells like asparagus? It's odd.

Asparagus contains a compound known as mercaptan. When this is broken down by the digestive system, by-products are released causing the smell.

So the way our body breaks down asparagus it causes it to smell like the same thing.
