Its not so much about what you eat as how much you eat. Its all about calories in and calories out. Ive seen videos of people who go on a multi week trip or something where they are much more active, hiking and whatnot. They also eat twice as much and mainly crap like McDonalds and they would still lose weight. Most fat people are fat because they sit on their ass all day doing absolutely nothing active and only getting up to get more food.
It's hard for me to understand because I have to work really hard to make sure I eat enough. I'm constantly worried about if I'm actually eating enough. I actually have to take weight gainer powder at 1200 calories per serving in order to meet my daily requirement. If I don't do this I lose muscle and weight. I lift weights and do cardio 7 days a week though.

Ive heard people say exercise helps you listen to your body more, so you only eat when you stomach is really hungry. Lazy people are always hungry which seems counter intuitive. I also think because they dont get pleasure from exercise their brain needs to get it from elsewhere so they use food as like a drug to feel better.
