I think babies are born somewhat "racist". Groups of toddlers often self segregate.

Yeah. In some cases this is because it is a weird concept. Why are they different colour to me? It is more of an unknown thing and so they are unsure if they're a threat or not.

Younger minds are more flexible, with age it gets more rigid.

Yeah, also this can be seen with religion, having a baptism before they've even said their first word, they have no free will whatsoever.

Yeah, that's a really good example. Them being forced into religion as a not fully understanding being is a very bold move. I mean, if the parents are understanding to which at a certain age of their child, they feel they aren't religious, hopefully their parents would understand. But if they're not, their future has been carved out for them.

Well just answering the title...
Children have lived less. Therefore they have less embeded and held-onto ideas and ideologies.
You'll find that everyone 18+ years old, tend to have atleast some ideologies and ideas that they simply have held onto for ages.
And they could be wrong but nobody's told them.

Children see things with an open mind, that's why people think they are smart. They don't yet know what to or what not to think
