As someone that is using a windows 10 preview build right now, things that are nice:

  • Multiple Desktops
  • Updated Graphics
  • Cortana Integration
  • Seamless flow between metro and desktop
  • Improved keyboard shortcuts for moving windows around the screen

Probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting because I'm just used to it now.

  • Free (windows has a lot to gain by becoming free, it's free)

I haven't been keeping up with it much lately. Has someone found a way to completely remove cortana yet? Not just disable it.

*I forgot to add... How about the Xbox stuff, as well? Removable yet?

By remove, you mean strip the code from the OS, or just make it so she doesn't show up anywhere?

It's nice that Microsoft added this feature at a point where I typically have access to enough screen space that I never actually need multiple desktops.

Bleeding edge stuff. :P

Yeah, you start with one desktop and can put things in multi-desktop view by pressing win+tab. From there you can add or delete desktops (deleted desktops move their windows to another desktop. Then you can switch around quickly with ctrl+win+[arrow key]. You should be able to get how this looks and works on multi-screen setups with this screenshot.
