They are and aren't. It's an acquired taste, like coffee, sushi, beer, etc. Except Lobster, I don't understand how someone could not like lobster.

You know, maybe, there is a small chance that the few times I tried lobster it was just prepared really bad.
For the acquired taste, i think that is something really dumb. "hey i am eating this, which i find taste absolutely awful. but i will keep eating it, like my peers expect me to, in the hopes that i will get used to the taste some day"

It's more like you don't like it and stop eating it. Then after a while, you keep seeing how people like it and think, maybe is not as bad as I remembered? Someone offers, you taste and well, it's not so bad. So So or may actually good. Some time pass again, you trying, you kind of like it and well in the end you end up wondering how is it that you didn't like this in the first place?

One day, when you become an adult, you will taste beer and think to yourself "This is delicious, how come I found it discussing when I was a kid?"
