I had hákarl in Iceland. It's shark that's been buried and fermented. It smells godsawful. The waitress brought it out in a tiny jar, and she told me to close the jar after I've eaten it because "people are trying to eat in here." When you chew it, it coats your mouth in this oily film of nastiness. It was the worst thing ever. Glad I did it.

Yeah, it came with Brennivín. It's way better than the shark.
