I hate how good they have it. Really. Personal electronics, game consoles, Netflix, etc... Its a far different time from when I grew up. Heck, I can even (just barely) remember a pre-cable world. You watched what your Dad watched and liked it. If we were bored, we went outside, and built a world using some sticks and our imagination. I've bought hundreds of dollars of legos and nerf stuff for my kids and after a few weeks, its back to PS4 destiny and Netflix.... I sometimes try to imagine WHAT they will tell their kids about when they reflect back and say, "Back in my day we didn't have...."

Damn, this hits close to home for me.

I remember when my parents just walked up and changed whatever I was watching because, well, they owned the television. I remember when cartoons on Saturday ended at noon, and it went to adult programming.

My wife and I recently instituted a new policy at home, t.v. goes off when I walk in the door from work, and doesn't go back on until I leave the next morning. It's actually had a really positive effect, they play with their toys more, play with us more, and want to go outside more.

right? but then there's the phones (our old androids , no phone service, but playing games on wifi), and tablets, or they disappear with their laptops. I need to right this ship.

I'm sure your parents felt the same way about you when you were young :)

I don't have kids, but I do have a Nephew, so if you would permit me to throw my horns into the ring, I would say that his penchant for lack of volume control, gets rather annoying... almost to the point of hate.

I do love him, but honestly, speak in your quiet voice sometimes!

My nephews are chill but their toys are loud as fuck. I've broken every one them and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Two screwdrivers and a pair of side cutters. Open everything that takes batteries, cut one wire, put back together.

That musty smell in my 15 year old son's room. It stinks like, skin, sheets & funk. He showers every night, I air the room, wtf!

that's probably from masturbating, it tends to stain the air. It doesn't matter how much you air it out, he's going to keep doing it.

Enh... teen boys often simply reek. Like hair, body oil, and old clothes. I don't think they can help it. Masturbation has it's own scent.
