Initially thought it would be neat to have native European myths showcased in our society. Didn't think about it too much, but expected something more serious I guess, like a King Arthur or Lord of the Rings type seriousness.
After watching a number of the movies, I don't like them. What is taken from norse/germanic mythology is pretty much made into a standard sci-fi superhero film. Not deep, not gritty, over the top (how many times can the world/universe almost be destroyed?), too many jokes.
I don't know. I don't really know how to explain what's wrong with Marvel. Lord of the Rings is more Norse mythology than Marvel.
