When someone tells you they're offended they're sharing with you something about their mental health, it's a bit like someone saying "I'm claustrophobic". There's no onus on you to do something about it, you're not the cause of it, the issue is all theirs but it's nice of them to inform you so you know not to expect rational sane behaviour from them under the circumstances.

people lose their self-righteous anger if you tell them WHY you believe it

Not true. At this point they're already on the attack and all explanations are simply excuses for them.

This is true, but there are tons of liberals that are silent about their being offended, and have hidden agendas to embarrass you and make you look bad to push their propaganda.

Those are harder to spot because they initially side with you and make you feel accepted in your conservative ways.

Agreed then why as a nation do we oblige them? In the case of work, an HR department should say..yeah so, harden the fuck up, people have opinions, or ‘oh yea he/she is an asshole sometimes...never gets invited the after work parties...what the fuck do you want us to do about it?’ If it’s outside of work and someone offends you tell them they’re being an asshole, having just as much right as them to be an asshole.

"I'm offended by how hard you work to take offence at everything". Came out of my 77 year old mother's mouth as a response to some continuously-offended orange headed SJW. I didn't red pill my mom, but someone did.

When someone says, "I'm offended" in response to some thing you said, they really mean, "I can't control my own emotions so I'm trying to control what you say and think."

This is brilliant. I never knew why I'd get so mad when people would play the offended card with me and now I get it. I don't try to control them, I'm fine with what people believe and even if I think it's stupid I'm not going to be offended by it. But one thing I've always hated is being told to stifle myself because my opinions aren't gelling with someone else's limited world view.

Exactly! I guess a better way to put it would be, "I can't control my own emotions so I need to control you." (I read that somewhere years ago but can't remember where)

They're trying to take back control of the conversation and shut down opposing thought and speech. A classic censorship move. This is why Political Correctness is thought terrorism. The idea behind it is to make people feel bad for the things they think and say, until they don't think or say those things anymore. If people said those things or thought those things, the offended party would always lose.

They want to bypass facts and logic to quash opposing arguments with no pertinent facts of their own. So, remind people who say they're offended that the fact that they're offended doesn't change any of the facts or logic that have offended them. They have simply stated that they are uncomfortable. If they can't argue matters without expressing their discomfort with opposing views, and having the effrontery to use their feelings as arguments, then either they are not equipped to be involved in the discussion or have lost the argument and are playing an old, trite, and worthless trump card.

Interesting response to a post about not being able to control emotions

It's all under the same one. It's long, messy, and didn't take much thought.

If your workplace has become hostile to you, quit.

We, as Western men, should stop taking shit.

I dropped out a couple years ago. It's fucking glorious. I am no longer going to feed the beast.

You should stop as well.

Working on it. Unfortunately to replace the income it’s going to take some saving up. Want to start a business, and have the chance to show my HR department - the exit door. HTFU or get out.

You can’t play this card, Mr. chink loving race traitor. You no longer are a member of our people since you gave your seed to a woman of a different people and robbed her of her own as well.

Go by a walmart any given sunday. Look around at the white women. Then you will understand why a guy might look at a high iq asian girl who are usualy very based. They are conservative, they hate blacks thry care about family and education... then u look at the white women of america? You anzwer this i will take your guess within 5 perfent what perfent of white women have 1. Kissed a blackman or woman and 2 how many have burned the coal. If i get an asian woman from asia the perfentage chance is zero.. i knew a good looking smart girl and she told me a good guy who wqs a great match for here just completly stoped talking to her because someone mentiomed she fucked a black guy. I told her to never tell a guy she was intrezted in that she had burned the coal she didnt know wether to be offended or thank me, i think she took my advice.

The answer to "I'm offended" is "And?" It is a statement about the feelings of someone. Any demand to do anything based on it can be disregarded without comment.

“Good.” is also a fun response. Even better if you’ve already stated and proven a fact and they reply with their offense.

You do NOT have the right not to be offended. Quite the opposite, the Supreme Court has frequently confirmed that the first amendment does cover offensive speech.

Yeah. Start a conversation with a rabid right wing bible thumper about police, jesus, trump, or anything they hold sacred and see how triggered they get. Both sides are full of sacred snowflakes.

You do not have the right to be offended. Communists pushed the PC bullshit fully knowing that over time, the populace would devour themselves and a dictatorship would spawn as a result. PC dumbs the mind, forces you to be compliant. It also creates zealots that act as useful idiots that create instability. Instability makes it easier to usurp control. Don't worry, once the communists take over, the zealots will be killed first. Though, you will be killed too because asking too many questions and being knowledgeable is dangerous. What you are witnessing in the media is the communist take over. Hillary was part of Nixon's team, which is the Chicago mafia, which is communists allied with China. That was off tangent wasn't it? Something something Jews.
