I'm only asking because i too don't know what to expect, and if it will be enough convenient to burn the 30 day trial. I'm also not american, i'm italian so i don't even get the amazon video service or what its name is. Sincerely i'm a lttle skeptic, i think the risk of fake sales, black friday style, is very high

Yes, because there will be things, and they will be cheap.

I mean, how can you be so confident? Has amazon ever done either a summer sale or a prime only one that you can use to compare to this one?

I'm specifically confident because we've been told that they'll be more aggressive with the price-cutting than they were on Cyber Monday, and we got a wicked pack of sales then. I got a $500 watch for $99, a pot and pan set that we desperately needed for more than 50% off (can't remember the exact number), a knife set for about half off . . . stuff like that. I mean, if you have stuff you're looking to buy, then you probably already have reference prices for it. It's definitely at least worth looking.

I plan on doing it. I signed up for a 30 day free trial just for it. Of course, I plan on cancelling that 30 day trial once I get my stuff...

I won't be participating because I am not a Prime member. I used the trial previously, and there is no way I can imagine paying for it.

I've had prime for a few years now, never really got into the video part. I still love it.

I've never understood this. Why don't they called it a discount? A sale happens regardless of what you buy, and how much it costs.

Probably because discount has a negative acceptation, discounted items aren't usually seen as high quality ones.

Of course, Prime rocks, what's not to like? I've had Prime since it started, it was great just to get "free" two day shipping, but now they've added free videos and music, offer to let you get a credit for taking standard shipping if you're not in a hurry, so it feels like it's getting more valuable.
