Yes. Brutal truths/actions come to mind. I can agree that the brutal action is the solution but can not respect the action because of its brutality or lack of honorable.

Sure. It's a bit of self-loathing, or extreme self-awareness, but it is certainly possible.
For example, I have the opinion that the USA would probably be better off without black people. But I do not respect that position, as it goes against my "every individual stands on their own" feelings on identity politics.
