If you insist on doing the speed limit, you shouldn't be in the passing lane. You don't have the right or authority to enforce speed limits.

Have you ever actually driven a car on a highway?

That guy hasn’t for sure or he is probably the type that triggers all the assholes who end up riding his ass for the giggles.

Don’t hog the passing lane when you could be driving speed limit in the right lanes ;)

Speed limits are set for the lowest common denominator who can handle the road at that speed. It sucks having to drive at speeds that are safe for people like you. But then if rates were set for the faster folks you poor saps would be pulled over on the side of the road trembling.

Speed limits are set to collect fine revenues from easy scapegoats:

"You monster! How could you be in the statistical top 15 to 30 percent of drivers by speed?! Have you no concern for the children?!"

"Gee. I didn't think of it like that. I mean I was on the highway. It's not like I was driving through an orphanage or something."

"Well that's the problem--you didn't think."

"I... I'm sorry. I won't do it again."

"Oh. Well it's actually not that big of a deal. Just pay $200 of penance into the municipal coffers and all is forgiven."

This is why everyone should do their best to fight any traffic ticket in court. Even if you don't think you can win, you upset the cost equation: fine $revenues < cost of judge + stenographer + district attorney + testifying cop +bailiff + clerk.

Exactly! That's a good way looking at it. The speed limits are for the dipshits.
