I know this is "just for fun" day dreaming but i've been experimenting with fixing a water tank today and i'm bored:

  • Unless you are issuing your own 'money' (currency) then you are not a 'Nation' and can re title the question "if you were to build a new housing estate ......" etc.

  • upon the realization that to be a 'nation' you need to issue your own energy token, you will realize you have a new immediate set of 'problems'

  • the first will relate to how the currency is issued , next is who issues , and other parameters that are related to the mechanics of that.

  • you may not understand that 'production' is just human energy to have a 'close to' energy neutral system then you will need to issue a 'close to' energy neutral token.

  • all other issues would follow on from that, but they are not trivial and have to do with of course basic resources. Water, - ability to gain other staples.

this is probably before you get to the issue of 'citizenship' - 'welfare' issues would be related to the sum of human energy in your 'nation' utilizing the token you have issued.

Summary

The solution is probably 'no nation' as 'technology' advances there could be means to have multiple separate individuals 'trading' and utilizing a close to energy neutral token.

Each individual would be responsible for their own utilization of 'land and basic resources' however every other 'citizen' if they have faith in the energy neutral token would know that they are yielding the most efficient possible 'value' for their human energy / resources.

have fun.

Where you been, man? Non-nations have been able to issue their own money for months now.
