Lack of exercise and too much high fructose corn syrup

Along with large quantities of prescription drugs. When I was a kid I was a trouble make and the school tried to get my parents to put me on whichever add drug was hip. Father told them he would not pump me full of chemicals.

Same here, parents wouldn't let them drug me up. I had a friend that had the exact opposite happen. It really fucked him up for ~5-8 years. It took him ~3 years just taking 'lesser' drugs to back him off of what they were giving him.

Yep, this. I read 1 out of 4 kids now is on prescription drugs. Insane. They all appear to have major side effects.

too much high fructose corn syrup

I would say overcomsumption of carbs/sugar for sure - rather than from a specific source.

high fructose corn syrup is in most cases completely derived from GMO corn as well but I agree with you about carbs and sugar, especially sugar. It's in EVERYTHING, even in things it just absolutely doesn't belong, like pickles and sausage and bacon.

Nope. Vaccines are given about 40x more often. Chemicals in the food. Water quality is down. Pesticides accumulate in the mothers system and are passed along to the kid.

Don't forget all the estrogen mimickers in plastics that are everywhere and in everything now.

Plus all the pharmys in the water that get pissed and flushed into our water supply.

Totally agree and it's stupidly sad how easy it is to stay in shape if you just follow a rigourous daily 10-15 minute workout with 1 day off/cheat day.

Your quality of life improves tenfold, you enjoy food more, you feel healthy, sexually vibrant etc etc but people who just refuse to exercise look to relying on outside vices to make themselves feel better rather than working on themselves.

doctors over-diagnose, and they do it to make themselves money. most of the shit kids are diagnosed with is bullshit.

I tend to think this is it too. The numbers are way higher than twenty years ago but the actual rate is the same. A mixture of better diagnosis and also over diagnosis.

This is without a doubt a huge part of it. Just wait, they are going to keep broadening the autism spectrum until literally any child can be diagnosed with autism, and then after they get something like 60% of American children diagnosed with autism some miracle drug will come out that "helps with high functioning autism" and they will prescribe it to that 60% to make billions of dollars.

Kids definitely are fatter nowadays. All the other answers ITT are spot on. I'll expand the lack of exercise comment to say that kids don't play outside nearly as much as they used to. Video games and overprotective parents are two of the main reasons for that.

Ive been hearing about kids getting diagnosed with shit like Fibromyalgia too.

The (((drug companies))) are either making shit up or adding symptoms to things to make every single disorder general enough that they can have parents buying pills for any child.

I'd say 80% of things kids are diagnosed with these days are made up conditions to sell drugs/therapy. The remaining 20% would be a split between legitimately discovering new disorders and previously rare diseases becoming more common simply due to population increase.

I agree. But possibly we could go a step further and suggest that there is a tool that could make mass amounts of children suddenly pop up with random health problems to feed the system.

All disease is a result of activated epigenetic factors after exposure to a poor diet or heavy toxic buildup (vaccines, post birth buildup etc).

Many cases of autism are just the mother detoxing herself through the fetus. It was common in native tribes for women to have a stillborn first before producing healthy children as a sort of toxic dump. It was considered irresponsible to have children rapidly, as it was well known that children take an immense amount of nutrition to be valuable resources for the tribe.

Nowadays I hear about women going vegan for their pregnancy, wtf would you do that for srsly sooo ignrnt

Internet.

Suddenly kids don't want to go outside and helicopter parents become doctors and diagnose their children with some BS unheard of 10 years ago.Big Pharma isn't helping, neither are game console makers.

I grew up before the internet and never wanted to go outside, too. Sometimes my parents forced me to go out, so I was waiting for a couple of hours in front of our door. I was never diagnosed with anything as a kid, though. I didn't have anything in particular to do inside, but I also didn't have anything particular to do outside. Mostly I was just sitting somewhere thinking. (That is until video games became a thing. Suddenly I had something to do inside.)

We need to bring back the knowledge of Native American medicine. Aside from the spiritual side of it which does nothing and is weird, many of their herb concoctions are extremely powerful and cure many things.

You think? I've trolled hard on those bark eating types, lol! At the very least they should make a business out of it.
Its like they learned nothing from that Cherokee Hair Tampons episode.

This is what I tell people when they ask me why and how I could ever believe that the pharmeceutical industry would invent an injection that would make you dependent on the system for the rest of your life.
