Yeah, I habitually open new tabs for everything for that reason. It might be possible to tell the browser to aggressively cache pages to prevent this, and if so, that could be made a preference per-user. I dunno.

Yeah that has perpetually been a problem for any dynamic site. I always had to do that on Reddit and I have to do it here. The only thing worse than that is motherfucking infinite scroll

Yes, that's why I ctrl-click or center click links so they open in a new tab.

Touch and hold link 'open in new tab'. Works on firefox android. Unless youre using an iphone which if thats the case, consider it a lesson learned and buy Android next time ;)

I'm tired of web pages not allowing contents to be cached for at least a few minutes. Back in the old days you could use the back button and it didn't constantly reload pages every time you hit back, it just instantly went back. Now you have to manually simulate it by opening every fucking link in a new tab. Come on guys, if you can keep the page cached in a separate tab, you can do the same in the recent page history.

Yes it is the single most fucked thing I never understood about browsing on the web with hitting the back or forward. Actually the forward has become the new back. I think companies want to always count or charge for web pages viewed so each page is refreshed. Wasn't like that before.

Middle click on whatever you want to check out. It will open it in a new tab. Welcome to the future.
