You may be sort of joking, but honestly, there might be some financial strains, but the joy and love of a full house is worth it. And then in 50 years when you're starting to have great-grandchildren, you're not a family anymore, you're a friggin' clan of like 50 people.

I'm not actually joking, but convincing a wife to be to overcome the brainwashing that having more than 2 is going to be hard.

Once you have 3, each extra one gets only slightly harder to care for - as they start entertaining each other (and are less dependent on you for entertainment), and buying in bulk is only slightly more expensive than buying things individually.
