The internet is a honey pot. It's both a blessing and a curse. A double edge sword. The privacy we've sacrificed is disgusting but it's not in vain. We've developed a collective consciousness. This is what TPTB have worried about. And why censorship is coming on hard.

I rebuilt https://snew.github.io recently.

https://github.com/snew/snew

It is based on a literal fork of the last open source version of reddit's codebase. (primarily design/markup)

https://github.com/decred/snew-classic-ui

Longer term vision for it is to be a client for one or more distributed (and possibly centralized) link aggregating social networks.

Including Voat when API is ready.

p2p and meshnet are two of the stupid ideas that have prevented work on a serious metanet which is what can actually solve these problems.

  1. Meshnets are NOT a viable solution.
    • Low speed of communication will prevent anyone but die hard enthusiasts from using it.
    • Radio congestion and tx distance make this a non-scalable technology
  2. P2P is something that works for file sharing but building network communication services that function in a similar fashion to bittorrent is a non-starter
    • It relies on the routing functions of existing technologies, hence it is trivial to block or filter.
      • This also means that it hemorrhages information about who is talking to who and when.

The only viable long term solution is to use metanets in a similar vein as Tor. However, I have a feeling that if and when we develop an improved metanet that relies on encryption, the super wealthy globalist tech lobbies will simply relentlessly push laws to undermine or ban encryption. Thus the only way forward is first to undermine these companies financially and force them to replace their leadership with people who are not hostile to freedom of speech.

Hitler didn't need interwebs. The jew's can censorship campaign is trivial.

Its exactly why Sen. Rockefeller said that the goys shouldn't be allowed to use it and wants to shut it down

I'd compare the advent of the Internet to the introduction of the printing press to Europe. There's a huge explosion of knowledge and sharing that the elite are terrified of. They'll probably start cracking down even harder soon, but the damage has been done.

This guy gets it.

We've developed a collective consciousness.

Not quite, but we are on the verge of them.

Are you referencing the son of Esau's first-born son Eliphaz and of the concubine Timna, the daughter of Seir, the Horite, and sister of Lotan?

One of Voat's earliest mass-spammers called himself Amalek. He hated the Jews and tried to red-pill people on the JQ in one of the worst possible ways. I assume he was calling himself after the leader of the Amalekites in the Old Testament, yes.

Is there a chance? Yes. Is it likely that the entire internet is only that? no.

Virtually every time someone says 'all X are Y', they're incorrect.

Virtually every time someone says 'all X are Y', they're incorrect.

You are right now saying pretty much all X are Y, with X = "every time someone says 'all X are Y'."

I actually agree with your point, though (I think it's valid to make an exception for the root statement). Just thought the recursive self-contradiction was amusing.

The entire internet? No. You give them way to much credit. Google, Twitter, Fakebook are merely a drop, not even that, in a entirely large ocean.
