Here on voat each downvote reduces a user's CCP score. If that CCP score gets too low that user is censored in that they no longer have the right to post anything, and only have the ability to comment < 10 times a day.

Downvotes shouldn't have anything to do with censorship, but with CCP-restrictions in place, they act to censor unpopular users.

so you are saying by consequences their our actions which they took voluntarily they lose privileges? the community acts to hold them responsible for their behavior? do you believe the inmates of your local prison have a right to leave the prison so as to access the public square and speak their minds?

When the consequences of speaking honestly involve subsequent restrictions on your rights to speak - you cannot call the system "free speech".

Oppressive systems of ideological censorship are usually nothing more than well-known consequences to certain actions/opinions.
