I'm worried that a lot of people have been conditioned not to show children consequences.

It's almost like facebook and other social media are social proof farms where people have to ignore any possibility that their families aren't perfect so as to feel like they can fit in with all of the other perfect families out there. I work at a restaurant and I seriously see parents having a hard time disciplining their children every day. It's genuinely alarming.

we'll ignore all the bad things they do while we take pictures of everyone at the family dinner so people will accept us on facebook once they see how perfect our family is

It's fucking maddening.
