is there a stated subverse rule against racism? if you're moderating based on your feelings that's an issue, but if there are established rules that you put in place for reasons relevant to the subverse's purpose and they were broken that's another thing entirely. If you were open about the fact that such a thing wasn't allowed, and gave good reason for it not to be, then it's fine.

having sensible relevant rules and punishing rule breakers is separate from abusing mod power and censoring speech you don't like, the important thing is determining which is going on

The racism bit is irrelevant to the theme of v/conspiracy. Plus this ass clown got it via subverse transfer. He didn't create it so he has less "ownership" of it.

Those subs have clearly defined rules related to their bans.

There is against that, this is on the sidebar:

Rule 2: No overt attacks on people's race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or creed

For reasons relevant to the subverse's purpose, maybe not, but it's still an established rule (assuming it wasn't added some time after the comment removal) and this does appear to be proper enforcement of said rule.

fair enough, but then the question becomes; what does that have to do with conspiracy? why is the rule necessary?

It is relevant. Because do you know how hard it is to converse in a subverse when you get spammed with "NIGGER FAGGOT". For free speech to exist there has to be a limit to some peoples free speech that use up to much band width.

Shouting people down and generally trying to over talk them while free speech is infringing on someone elses free speech.
