A comedy that tugged more heart strings than any other TV show and most movies I've watched. Fry's dog man, damn. Gets me every single time.

If you like the Office, try Parks and Recreation. It's similar in that it is a mockumentary format with many jokes sprinkled, some referring back to older episodes. Parks and Rec is also an easy, fun show to watch that never gets heavy so it's a perfect good mood show.

Futurama is definitely one of those shows that gets better each time I watch the whole thing through!

I desperately want to love Futurama, but I just can't seem to motivate myself to watch it. Like, it's not bad, but I just don't find it great enough for me to spend time watching it. Maybe I'll give it another chance these holidays...

What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No, I go for the chandelier. It's priceless. As I'm taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning, the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting. I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier.

God, I love that show.

That was such a good show. I wasn't at all interested in Daredevil before that show came out. I'm excited for more of it.

At times it didn't even feel like a television show but rather a long high-budget-action-drama-movie

Extremely well written show. I think the thing that hooked me in was that the bad guy was such a compelling character; all the characters were complex but Wilson was so intriguing. Really looking forward to season 2.

The Office (US). I had watched the first few seasons when it was still running, but I had stopped once Steve Carell left the show.

I stream it on Netflix every night when I go to bed. I've seen every episode so many times that it's great for background sound.

Also, every now and then, I'll see a joke that I swear wasn't in there the previous 30 times I watched the episode...

I'm in the same boat (in number of watch-throughs)... I feel that way (about the subtle jokes) especially in Seasons 2-5, my favorite season with 4 I think being the funniest (fun run being an all-time favorite for me).

[–] ethanzh 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

To be honest the show's definitely different after Michael leaves, but I feel like it's still worth watching, there's some funny moments.

Mine's actually The Office UK. I thought the comedic timing was absolutely spot-on and has led to me watching The Thick of It. Is the Office US any good when compared to the UK one? Like, I'm aware they're both good, but do they hold up side by side?

0
4

[–] audioshox 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

They are very different and do not really compare. While the first season of the office USA mirrors the UK show, it very quickly becomes its own and has a unique identity. Stick with it to season 2/3 before making a decision.

For me it's possibly Vikings, I didn't really know what to expect with it being a History channel show, but I think it's pretty damn awesome.

This is the last series I binge watched. Some of the characters can be a bit grating, otherwise thoroughly enjoyable. I give it 3.5 awesome Viking hairdos out of 5.

You know... I just couldn't get into 'The Wire.' I really wanted to, and have heard great things...but I just couldn't. I am willing to give it another go though.

I believe I left off when white male cop is by some sort of boats/docks. Maybe season 2?

[–] Bilbo_Faggins 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Trust me, as slow as it is, it's worth it, in my opinion season 3 is the best as well so it's worth sticking around.

S2 is a bit jarring since it changes the scene so much, but it gets back to the gang stuff that was so compelling. S2 isn't bad by any means, you just have to kind of separate it from the rest of the show, IMO.
