The apps exist. But the mobile experience is very good using the browser. The reason Reddit got dedicated apps is its mobile experience without them is atrocious.

I'll +1 to the mobile experience, but I would also point out that a robust dedicated app is useful for:

Post notifications and comment replies loading as much code natively as possible for users with slow connections having a purpose-driven experience with menus and functions outside of the web browser

I love Voat's mobile site much better than Reddit, but I am still waiting for a feature complete mobile app.

Yeah, I agree with this. With any web service I'm using a good app will always be superior to a good mobile site because of multiple reasons. Ultimately I never want to use my phone browser unless there is no other option. If there is a service I use often I want a dedicated app for it. Wikipedia, twitter, Youtube, facebook and many other major websites are functional on mobile browser, but I would almost never use those sites on my phone if I didn't have a good app for them.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but for me reddit's mobile web (not the new beta one) is good and nice to use, not atrocious. It's very lightweight and smooth. But of course voat is better overall. The only issue I have with voat mobile web is that the links at the header, including our points count, have very small or no padding at all, make them difficult to touch.

Voat's mobile site is quite possibly the best I've yet encountered. Really no need for an app unless your wanting to extend the features. Props to the devs, they did a good job.

Thanks, thats what I get for searching the app store before the actual website.

I use Boats for Voat and I think it's pretty damn well made, considering it used only the legacy Voat API.

try out Versa , I find it nice to use. It's lacking some feature such as user post history and inbox. But the last time I checked, all other apps also don't have that

It's every bit as usable as boats. I've removed boats from all my devices and installed Versa instead, although I might just use the browser as icenine suggested up there.

Yeah, Boats is pretty good too, I just like Versa's UI better
