It is possible, but I am very skeptical of the deterministic demographics arguments that have become popular over the last 20 years. Immigration is a problem to the extent new immigrants remain culturally foreign. This is especially a problem with Muslim immigrants. It is also a problem when the immigrants are poor and reliant on government services. Both of those problems can be addressed by changes to immigration policy.
On blue voters moving into red states, I think the problem is overstated. Most people are not hard core blue or red. And over time depending on the issues, the candidates, what else is happening in the world, they move their allegiances. So, they might turn red states blue, but they might become more red themselves. It is hard to predict.
