Just from my personal experience, SJW or people I would define that way are people who are in fight's that have nothing to do with them, arguing just to be right. They don't want to hear your argument but expressly want you to hear theirs. If you don't agree with that they say, they will argue with how your disagreement makes them feel and how that negative feeling is what proves that you are wrong. They don't want to fight facts vs facts and will quickly move to personal attacks when you do try to argue in that way. If you try to ignore them or be passive this will actually make them more upset and they will express how doing so is marginalizing their very serious and important argument. Also if you do agree with them, you don't have a right to do so because of who you are and what you represent.

The bottom line is, they want to be right. Only being right matters. The only thing more important then being right, is that you are wrong no matter what your position is.

My honest assessment is that most people going on about SJWs are teenagers and younger adults that are trying to ridicule other teenagers they perceive as overstepping and crying wolf over issues they (the teens) do not believe to be important (rather they are actually important or not is irrelevant here). The extreme "boogey man" type response is a reaction to how over-the-top the so-called SJWs can be at times. Unfortunately, because of how poorly the term was chosen, people raising legitimate social justice type concerns are thrown under the bus and everyone is annoyed in the process.

In my experience, an "SJW" is somebody who holds opinions that are disliked by the type of people who use the term "SJW". So the best way to avoid getting called an SJW is to not have any of those opinions. Fortunately, the term has become so vapid and meaningless that it's not really a sacrifice anybody should have to worry about making.

Visit some other countries then come back to the USA and honestly try to opine about social justice in the USA.....

You cannot because if you did you would be in India or China where there is no social justice.

Such visits may result in flying an American Flag - just a warning. Americans crying social justice at all - first world problem.

Go live in the Philippines.

Here's how I see it:

Someone who is standing up for their beliefs will at least listen to the other person and conduct their argument in a true forum fashion.

An SJW is a name-calling, hard-headed, whiny ass bitch who will insult you and not provide you with a plausable arguement.

SJWs seem to think that they need their feelings protected by law, which is obviously not the case. Take the confederate flag bullshit - SJWs have coerced major retailers to deny the sale of the flag (which is not in any way illegal) to people who want to by it. They have curtailed the freedoms and rights of others in order to protect their own precious feelings. No wonder people hate them.

SJW's are implacable. They are not standing up for what they think is right, they are standing up to you because you are wrong.

They are about power under the guise of social justice.

this is a big part of it. they have found allies among the most privileged.

SJWs need to get something clear - there is only one privilege - MONEY.

SJW = arguing for hedonism disguised as fundamental rights [its my right to tickle nerve X Y or Z]

Standing up for what you believe in = argument about ontological reality [don't harm living beings]

It's Capt. Picard, or Jesus VS Jim Morrison being mad that he can't use heroin publicly.

SJW is ultra-fail thinking.
