I'm using a M9 One, I haven't had any real issues. Only real faults I would say is the Peel Remote can't be fully uninstalled and I think nearly locked me out of my phone with a standby screen bug. I think I sorted it by restarting the phone, nearly was a disaster.
With that bug, was the screen never turning off? My wife and sister both had that problem with the M9, on different carriers, so I know it was an issue on HTC's end.

It was an issue with the application. It wasn't giving me access to unlock the screen. I could turn the screen off through manual buttons. Managed to reset by holding down power button which gave me access to the virtual restart/plane/shutdown buttons, which I think trumped the peel application.
