The goal of the police force is not force its citizens into slavery. Police in general come from the communities they serve. They also receive more public scrutiny collectively than any other subset of public servants. They are just people trying to do an impossible job. Externalizing responsibility for the condition of these neighborhoods is not the way out. The only way these neighborhoods are ever going to turn around is if the people in these neighborhoods stand up for them. Get rid of the poverty pimps and race baiters. Stop looking for people to blame and start looking for people to help. While there are systemic issues that can be addressed no amount of reform is going to fix the problem until these people can admit to themselves the nature of the problem.

While it may not be the stated goal, that doesn't change their solution to every crime being slavery. Renaming the word and calling it "justice" is no different than putting lipstick on a pig. You keep trying to talk about race and the communities these people are coming from but I can tell you there are plenty of white people in prison too. We're all the same once they rename you to a series of digits.

Yes if you break the law you go to jail. You have a better solution for murderers and rapists? It's better than a lynch mob. The problem isn't that people are being put in jail. It's that people are breaking the law. You can't separate behavior from both genetics and environment. It's either their shitty genetics (a hypothesis I tend to reject) or their shitty culture (one that I tend to support). I don't have an issue with white people in jail and neither do most white people. That is why whites are significantly more likely to aid in investigations. You're chasing symptoms not treating the disease.
