I would have been able to spend my time saving money to start a life when I get released instead of coming home penniless. I used to teach a GED math class for $42 a month when I was in prison. Don't you think an accredited teacher should have made a living wage to teach that class? I was the youngest kid in the room, the only white guy, and I was in front of the white board running everything.

I'm arguing against forced labor. Being forced to work for pennies an hour doesn't make anyone a better person. There is no rehabilitation... Just work.
