I would have been able to spend my time saving money to start a life when I get released instead of coming home penniless. I used to teach a GED math class for $42 a month when I was in prison. Don't you think an accredited teacher should have made a living wage to teach that class? I was the youngest kid in the room, the only white guy, and I was in front of the white board running everything.

So you are arguing against imprisonment at all or against forced labor?

I'm arguing against forced labor. Being forced to work for pennies an hour doesn't make anyone a better person. There is no rehabilitation... Just work.
