It definitely suits the site better. I always get a bit shocked when I check voat while in incognito.

Bright designs on sites seem to be going away. It seems to be a little 'stock standard' of a design.

I think it looks nice on some sites. Its definitely becoming a standard design, but sites like soundcloud look really nice with the white contrast. The white is part of the site.

I don't like the standard voat theme. I don't like its stupid hard coded margins, or how expanding a picture is cropped off by the sidebar. I have a 24 inch monitor and the text column is 6 inches wide, pictures are like 4.5 inches wide max. There is literally 4 inches of blank space on the left, and 6-8 on the right. Thats fucking stupid. At least the dark theme blends it a little better.

Imagus on Chrome and Thumbnail Zoom Plus on Firefox will solve your problem

Yeah the "minimalism" fad is to blame for that. Just about every site is doing that these days. And it's not like you can zoom in, no, that just makes the margins larger on most sites. And the worst is when you're on mobile and a site does this- it gives you like one sentence at a time of jumbo-huge font, and disables zooming out.
