The issue of legalization is rather important to those who are likely to subscribe to a weed subverse. I don't think criticizing the government should ever be frowned upon, regardless of the topic. I agree with most of Trump's policies but where drugs are concerned he seems bent on continuing the War on Drugs, which is counter-productive towards actually solving the issues at hand involving drugs (and counter-productive towards achieving individual liberty).

And /v/Stoned, at a first glance, is far more than a sub dedicated to the criticism of Sessions. There's even a post mocking gun control.

I agree it's a strange pick after so long without anything. Perhaps there is some unstated reason for this. But I see nothing too suspicious as yet.

This is what's happening to our site. The_donald leaks all over us. I hate to advocate going to reddit, but our front page mimics the_donald sometimes if you check. Frustrating, for someone who came here to escape the hive-mind.

I'll admit I jump the gun sometimes. I think I annoy a lot of people unfortunately. Just attempting to stay vigil. Why must everyone have an agenda

Edit: not advocating going to reddit to stay, just to see what I'm saying

You won't catch me criticizing you for staying vigilant. I appreciate your concerns here.

I didn't come here to escape a hive mind, personally. I came here to escape censorship. I wanted a platform where anyone could say and discuss anything on their mind, and that platform was, and is still, Voat. If a hive mind forms it is up to individual users to change that.

To this day I maintain that the negative CCP restrictions are Voat's only flaw. They are the closest thing to censorship we have, and they punish people for having unpopular views. Sometimes the restrictions only affect spammers, but often they affect legitimate users who just posted too many unpopular opinions. I don't think that should be grounds for restriction, but furthermore that reality discourages others from daring to challenge the hive mind. I wouldn't care about CCP at all if there wasn't a risk of me losing my ability to post as frequently as I like.

Why must everyone have an agenda

Everyone has a different set of fundamental principles and everyone wants to live in a different world than the one that is real. Only by exchanging ideas, either legitimate facts or manipulated truths, can we convince others that our way is best, and only through convincing others that our way is best is there any hope at all of peaceably transitioning to the new way of life. That's why everyone has an agenda.

Gun control is the top post on a 'weed' sub.

Every sub we have turns into a politics sub.

It's what the people of Voat are most interested in. A large portion of Voaters are only here for politics because that's the material they suspect is censored elsewhere. Many still use reddit for the niche communities.

Personally I'm exclusively on Voat, and if individual communities want to crack down on politicized off-topic stuff like that within their own subverses, I wouldn't oppose that. But the result might simply be a dead subverse without enough content. If people want weed content, for example, they need to post it.
