"Release of energy" from what? Everybody is still avoiding the base question

String theory purposes that two strings made contact during their reverberations and through contact the big bang was initiated, energy and the laws of physics were transferred to our universe.
EDIT: If you're asking where the matter and energy in the multiverse came from, I have no clue, no one does.

We don't know. We can trace the history of our universe back towards the Big Bang, but it is currently impossible to know what was going before it. We know that a massive amount of energy got released really fast, the energy turned into plasma, the plasma spread out and turned into stable atoms, and then the universe kept spreading out beyond that. Again, if you or anyone you know can figure it out there's a Nobel prize for physics in it for you, but a lot of top minds are pretty sure we can't know. We just measure the aftereffects.
