I'm not saying it's her fault. In no way I'm I saying that at all. No one deserves to be treated badly. But I don't think he's stealing any part of her. I think she's giving it away. He's made it abundantly clear to her what he thinks of her. And yet she continues. So is he a bad person for dealing out abuse. Maybe. Does she share the blame for willingly accepting that abuse. Maybe.

If you drag someone down so much that they lose their self worth, self confidence by telling them they are ugly, fat, have no friends etc then that person is a control freak, I've seen it happen.

It's easy to say "she should leave him" her reply would most likely be "who would have me, I'm fat, I'm ugly, I have no self worth so I just put up with it".

The only light at the end of the tunnel I see is that the guy is acknowledging he behaves badly towards her so hopefully he will change.
