Someone told me the best adblocker in a thread once, I had it installed but recently formatted my computer to linux/firefox and now can't remember the name of that adblocker.

No. AdBlock plus works together with ad vendors and displays ads when the vendors pay ransom.

Yeah, same here, I never have any ads come up on adblock. Works great in Firefox.

Maybe it's an option which can be switched off, I haven't used it in years.
