I once saw in a few Japanese cemeteries that they plant a tree where they bury the corpse (or its ashes). That way your death creates new life. And I really love that idea.

Where I live we say that a life isn't complete until you have children, publish a book and plant a tree. For me, just knowing that I created life, that I made something good for the world or helped society continue, even if it was just the tiniest bit, allows me to think that I could die in peace. And I'm also atheist, and I also think that life is the most important thing in the world. Not just your own life, but also the ones around you, plants and animals included.

It's really hard to explain. I just kinda feel that life is not something of one individual. You know, when I die I know part of me will stay here and help other life keep living. Be it your progeny, be it plants or animals. It's all a cycle. I know I sound a bit like high or something, but it's what I really think and believe, and that makes me feel in peace enough to accept death.

I don't want to die, but I accept I will someday. I don't need a paradise nor another life nor reincarnation.
