Most of what I know regarding my studies and future work is dark according to lay standards, but what I would consider the darker amongst them is that how in my field (healthcare), often the case in mismanagement and lateness of action is due to the administration and bureaucracy involved, as well as the general infrastructure, but this is in a 3rd world country, I do hope the condition is better in places where people are paid to actually care about what their work does to others.

My wife works for and we are insured through a MAJOR healthcare provider in our state. I have noticed something on my chest that I firmly believe may be a Melanoma. I have been waiting 7 weeks just to see my General Practitioner for an evaluation and referral. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

This happened to my father. He was having chest pains, trouble breathing. He was in his 70's. Took 2 months to see a specialist, do blood work and get x-rays, was diagnosed with pneumonia. Gets antibiotics. 3 months later is dead from lung cancer. Misdiagnoses + antibiotics + shitty shitty specialized health care did him in. We can't find a lawyer anywhere to start a lawsuit, because they all say the problem is so common the courts won't do anything about it.
